-pitching session for Jeonju Cinema Project 2020

The ‘2nd JCP: NEXT EDITION’ is open for submissions from December 20, 2018 to January 30, 2019.

The ‘JCP: NEXT EDITION’ is a project pitching program to select an international project for the ‘Jeonju Cinema Project 2020’. Since its launch in 2014, the ‘Jeonju Cinema Project (JCP)’ has supported local and international independent filmmakers by funding their films each year.

In celebration of the 10th anniversary of the ‘Jeonju Project Market’, the 1st JCP Next Edition program was launched this year in order to improve and expand the international contribution of the project. The program received great attention from local and foreign guests and the film industry worldwide and was able to show diverse personality of notable directors from various countries such as China, Lebanon, Brazil and France.

As a system of open call for JCP international project selection, the ‘2nd JCP: NEXT EDITION’ accepts feature film project with theatrical potential (minimum length 60 minutes), and it must be a new project of director/producer who has directed/produced at least one feature film.

After the pre-selection based on the submitted documents, the participants should attend the pitching session held during the festival.

As the result of the pitching, only one film will be selected as the ‘JCP 2020’ and it will receive a production investment of maximum 100 mill KRW (Approx.90,000 USD), and will be world premiered at the 21st Jeonju International Film Festival(Jeonju IFF) in 2020.

Submission will be made available on the Jeonju IFF official website for entry(entry.jeonjufest.kr/en).
