The Trip to Italy (TV)
Director_ Michael WINTERBOTTOM
UK 2014 180min HD color feature Fiction
Review

''The Trip'' produced by BBC of the United Kingdom was about touring England, but this time it is about Italy. The landscape of Italy such as, Toscana, Rome, Amalfi and the Mediterranean is amazingly beautiful. Oh, and the food can’t be left out. Whereever they go our eyes and mouth get excited. This is Steve and Rob’s second trip together and they are not just simply traveling for sightseeing. They follow the trace of artists like Byron and Shelley who had to live as refugees even though they were British. The two artists of the romanticism era, one a writer and the other a poet became a refugee in Italy.
The two actors follow their trace and present their typical comic senses and talks. Moreover, the impersonations of the actors are very entertaining. Director Michael Winterbottom proves his skills by including abundant textures of the character by selecting to film a TV series over a compressed movie. (LEE Sang-yong)
