Xiou, a poet wanders to find a job and art. He goes on a business trip to the Xinjiang Uygur district which is 4000Km away from Beijing.
His footsteps lead to a very deep area in the west of China. He passes through mountains, forests, lakes and a desert. He stays at very cheap motels during his trip and finishes 16 poems.
This film traces the process of completion of poems along the trip. His art is not elegant but is realistic and it is not an esthetic art but is the song of life itself. The life and the body of the poet is captured in the camera as it is. (LEE Sang-yong)
