Simone, the director and heroin of this film, wanted to be a fighter pilot, but as a woman it was only possible during wartime. Yet, she couldn´t give up her ambition to fly in the sky. She continued to have hope through the picture ´Sisters in Heaven´ and bought her own airplane with money she earned from an exhibition. One day, she read an article about a 16-year Afghan girl Farial, who had wanted to fly and began a flight of 6,000km from Copenhagen to Kabul. She thought if Farial could fly an airplane in Afghanistan where women could not ride. even a bicycle, she could gain freedom of the sky which she had lost since the prohibition of personal flights after 9/11. She attempts the flight at the risk of her life. Co-directors, Simone Aaberg Kaern and Magnus Bejmar, call this film a ´Docu-tale´, which is a combination of a documentary and a fictional story.
