Review

The three characters indo not share too many similarities other than the fact that they are all females dealing with the issue of family. What connects the three characters is the film called itself. From one story to the other, the film itself reveals how it was made. If the film can be seen as a ´coming of age´ film, it is because of its reflexive structure. This film doesn´t go into abstract criticisms of family(ism). Instead the film cuts its story at one point and returns to the film or the self who is making the film. The film while refusing the linear chain of self-family-society-state demands a more scrupulous arrangement for family. Inside this arrangement, the pains of the women are revealed, and the film itself eventually becomes a healing process for the filmmakers. There is no better criticism than healing. And to show that there are people who need to be healed, and there are people who share the same pains is what criticism is essentially about. Healing and criticism, these are what enables you to make that next step. And making that next step is always fun. Just ask the women in this film.
