One summer night when crickets chirp, young people playfully film on the streets against the backdrop of night landscape. And Sleepless Night shows a couple who exchange daily conversation. This film is a story about this couple loving and living together. This newlywed couple has their own jobs, but their life is not very well-off and they worry about getting a baby and other stuffs. The film does not create dramatic events, but records the ordinary life of their making love, talking with each other, and arguing about nothing. The couple gets contented at cooking and washing dishes together, and watching each other sleeping. They share everything with each other, such as empathy and affection that they would not have felt if not married, and expectation, curiosity, worry, hesitation and argument about childbearing, along with their friends’ story about what they have not experienced yet. During this process, their love becomes solid. Worries and expectations circle around the couple, just like a fate. They look at each other for a lot of occasions, but maybe love requires them to look at the same direction to go together. One summer night, the couple looked up at the night sky to catch shooting stars, which would appear out of blue. The more shooting stars appear, the happier they would become. The audience would find themselves hoping for their long happiness.
