Review

Every single part split from one’s body by the darkness like hand, mouth, tongue, etc. is repeated along with a constant noise. As the images have been repeated, the whole shape has been revealed from the darkness which is Mickey Mouse snoring. Deconstructing him, the symbol of the Walt Disney the film subverts a cartoon character familiar with us in a ridiculous and horrifying way.

Martin Arnold

Born in Vienna in 1959. Studied psychology and art history at the University of Vienna. Has worked as an independent filmmaker since 1988. Taught at art schools and universities such as the San Francisco Art Institute (1996/97), the Stadelschule in Frankfurt (1998/99), Bard College in New York (2000/01) and CalArts in Los Angeles (2008). In recent years works on video like Soft Palate (2011), Self Control and Haunted House (2011).
