Review

The death of the grandfather. Esteban begins the journey to his faraway hometown to attend grandfather’s funeral with his unfamiliar cousin, Pipa. The three days of two men, who are so different from each other, are long and tortuous as much as their complicated stories. A family story feels familiar in a flash but it walks a fine line of the tightened emotion between them.

Now Everybody Seems To Be Happy received the First Prize of the Cinefondation at Cannes 2007, His first feature film Villegas was selected for the Cannes’ Official Selection 2012.
