Born in New Jersey, in 1987. In 2012, he received a Master’s degree in film studies from Columbia University, in New York. Since 2013, he has shot and edited a series of video-recorded directors’ talks?featuring Chantal Akerman, Bruno Dumont, and Matias Pineiro, among others?for MUBI Notebook. He has written and directed four short films, including [#i_]Six Cents in the Pocket[_i#](2015), which was included in the 53rd New York FF, the 66th Berlinale, and the 2016 Viennale. [#i_]Notes on an Appearance[_i#], completed in 2017, is his first feature.
