Review

Inspired by Akutagawa Ryunosuke´s story 『In a Grove』. The plot takes place during the reign of Russian Emperor Alexander II. A lady-in-waiting is telling the prince in his palace a metaphysical fairy tale.

Born in 1944, Khamdamov was educated in Directing at the Moscow film school VGIK. As well as a filmmaker, designer of fashion, jewellery and theatrical costumes, he is also a visual artist. [#i_]Anna Karamozoff [_i#]was entered into Cannes in 1991, and[#i_] Diamonds[_i#](2010) was screened at Venice. [#i_]The Bottomless Bag [_i#](2017) received two awards at the International Moscow Film Festival.
