Born in 1962, Philadelphia. His documentary[#i_] My Architect[_i#](2003), about his father, was nominated for an Academy Award in 2003 as well as being nominated for two Independent Spirit Awards. His short films include the Oscar and Emmy nominated[#i_] Two Hands[_i#](2006), about the internationally celebrated pianist Leon Fleisher. He has also made several films on science including [#i_]Telescope[_i#](2015) and[#i_] Dark Side of the Sun[_i#](2016) for Discovery.
