Review

It is unlikely to see a new world opening up in Noryangjin. In fact, if a kind of obsession arises there, the place becomes closed than ever. This energy can lead an aberration in Noryangjin, but it always fails. If daily life is made up of repeated failures of aberrations, how can we find a way out of it? The final image of the protagonist ─ who may be either crying or smiling ─ clearly conveys that people can’t escape from that reality. [CHI Seunghak]
