The film explores the trauma of terrorism in France after the Charlie Hebdo shooting. It is the story of Muriel who tries to stop her grandson Alex as she finds out that he plans to leave for Syria after being subjected to Islamic fundamentalism. The conversations extracted from the 60-hour long interviews with the young Jihadists are close to reality. When Muriel gets new hope from a former jihadist who returned from the dead and learned the value of freedom, she also agonizes about what she really wants. [JANG Byungwon]
