This video work is about political factors and their impact on people’s daily lives. In 2015, soldiers appeared and stayed in the urban space of various European cities as a result of terrorist attacks. The director started to film them in Paris and kept filming when he moved to Rome, Italy. He shows how a political factor from military presence changed the air of the city with his mobile phone, an ordinary recorder that everyone can use. The film’s title, Walked the Way Home means his observation on his way home from the studio, which is inspired by Alvin CURRAN’s song. The film employs slow motion which maximizes the character of video media with the soundtrack of Alvin CURRAN. It gives an indirect answer how art is distinguished from full of video works.
