Jeongwoo an alcoholic in his 30s enters a rehabilitation center run by Teresa a nun. Teresa who normally doesn’t accept patients during the winter accepts him due to her relationship with his mother. Jeongwoo being the only patient fights with loneliness within the restricted rehab life. He struggles from whips and jingles and wanders about the mountains in search for alcohol but also shares a subtle emotion with Maria a very pretty nun that he met in the center. Maria in her early 20s who just became a nun dreamt a miracle and predicted the future and also explains that she saw Jeongwoo in her dreams. While Maria and Jeongwoo get to know each other, a hunter visits the center. Jeongwoo follows him with the intention to drink the alcohol that was in the his bag. (KIM Youngjin)

DIRECTOR
KIM Hee Jung
Kim Hee Jung studied at the National Film School in Łod? and made her debut with the film Girl Thirteen (2007). The film follows a girl’s groundless conviction to find her real mother, centering on the vacillating identity of a figure who craves something one does not own. Her second film, Grape Candy (2012), repeats Kim’s story of rumination on a past wound. Kim engaged with Jeonju IFF through the film Snow Paths (2015), which she made as a part of the Jeonju Cinema Project. The film depicts a man who visits a country church to treat alcoholism and then overcomes his trauma by meeting a nun in communion with the dead. Her latest film A French Woman traces the delirium of the female protagonist who encounters her past self after she passes through the gate of time. Kim excels at materializing the identity of an unstable drifting being.
