Review

Watching is a threat and a pain. If you still wish to participate in this hell-ride, despite the warning, you´ll have to fasten your seatbelt. This movie is, already in itself, a sort of hallucination. Christmas Eve is a day when everybody longs for the lord´s mercy... but for Mike it is a disastrous night that attracts decadence and damnation. We get to go inside the hallucinatory mind of Mike through the extremely shaky and unsettling lenses of a digital camera. He lives in a dreary building where shadows of screams, beatings, and death lurk. The next-door lady doesn´t seem to be his route to redemption anymore. The body, however, which already knows the pleasures of the decadent game, doesn´t seem to let go easily. His trip to South America was a life full of easy hallucinations, but also a life that he wished to escape from. He returns to his role as the ´Angel´, but things are not what they used to be around there anymore. His girlfriend is pregnant with his baby. Shadows of greed and abusive fanaticism are to be found everywhere. Mike then escapes from his role as ´Angel´. Can he truly escape this cruel world that is so hard to get through without hallucinating? The film is marked by a violently shaking camera, sudden edits, unconventional narratives and space shifts. Just like it’s destructive form, the film´s storyline also quickly heads toward destruction. As you have been forewarned, be careful. is a very addictive film.
