Seymour: An Introduction
Director_ Ethan HAWKE
USA 2014 81min DCP color feature Documentary
Review

This time, Ethan Hawke, a writer and an actor, holds the camera. Seymour the pianist is not an ordinary performer. He is a character who holds a very sad story and insight of life. This naturally shows within the movement of his fingers.
Ethan Hawke films the various images of Seymour and shows us what it is like to mature through art. This is also a spread out effect by the expansion through the commune with Ethan Hawke, another artist. This documentary is a simple but touching portrait of an artist. (LEE Sang-yong)
