In a small seaside city, a father and a daughter are walking on a hot summer day. Believing that his runaway wife is dead, the father chases after sites where unidentified dead bodies have been found. The daughter angered, stays away from her father, asking herself "Is this love?" The man beats his daughter for saying, "Kim-chi is crazy," a saying of her mother´s. The man, unable to accept his wife´s infidelity, tries to displace the fact by acting as if his wife had died. The daughter suddenly feels compassion towards her father. Holding her father who seems like a child to her, she whispers to herself, "Stop it now child, aren´t you already tired?" Such scenes-full of compassion and aberration-reveal the contradictory nature of the their relationship. The daughter resents the father who made her mother run away, and the father cannot stand to look at his daughter who resembles his mother so much. One thing that the daughter hates is to hear him call her "pathetic." The daughter too, leaves home screaming, "Am I pathetic?". For daughter, her father is just a person who gave her his "bad blood." A film about compassion, resentment, the head of the household, and the realities of being a woman.
