DIRECTOR
Hong Ki-seon 
A founder of Yalashung, a student film circle, Hong Ki-seon co-directed numerous student films with super 8mm. After graduation, as a member of Seoul Visual Collective, he made several features and documentaries films that depict the reality of Korean society, utilizing 8 mm and 16mm film cameras. In 1988, he found Changsangotmae, a film production, and produced Oh! Dreamland(1989) that deals with the pro-democracy movement in Gwang-Ju. In 1992, he wrote, produced, and directed The Sorrow, Like a Withdrawn Dagger, Left My Heart(1992), a 35mm feature film illustrating Korean society through the lives of shrimping crews, which was awarded by many festivals such as San Remo Film Festival. In 2003, he directed and produced The Road Taken(2003), a film about a matter of human conscience.
