Part drama, part documentary, The Road to Guantanamo focuses on the Tipton Three, a trio of British Muslims who were held in Guantanamo Bay for two years until they were released without charge.

Mat WHITECROSS 
Born in 1977 in Oxford, UK. He was an editor of 9 Songs directed by Michael Winterbottom and made his debut feature,The Road to Guantanamo, which he co-directed with Winterbottom, won the Best Director award at the Berlin Film Festival in 2006. He travelled to Thailand to film Moving to Mars (2009), a documentary about Karen refugees fleeing from Burma to the UK for which he won the prestigious Grierson Award for Best Documentary.
