Review

In a virtual city of the future, the operating system Wunderkammer 10.0 discovers ruined buildings in the process of collecting data. The ruins are so damaged that it’s impossible to recognize the purpose of what once stood on the foundation stone. While roaming amongst images on the Internet, Wunderkammer finds a long-expired travel blog. The paintings, photographs, and videos uploaded on the blog start to clash with the automated logic of the future. The film examines the condition of images that change within the framework of speculative science fiction. It is at once a detective film that searches for lost objects and traces, as well as a media inquiry into images that restore the outlines of films in a world devoid of films. [KIM Byeonggyu]
