Director PARK Marisol's Warm Welcome is an unusual private documentary. Although PARK Marisol tells a story about her mother, who is closest to her, she focuses more on her mother's public activities rather than personal stories with her. Lee Yunjeong has worked part-time for Friends of Asia, a human rights group for migrants, for three years. The film shows Lee Yunjeong's public life from the daughter's perspective. Her activities and life stories seem relaxed. The director respects her mother, an ordinary housewife who learned to devote her life at church but became a social activist after the Sewol Ferry disaster. She also feels that her mother is powerless, as if 'she bangs her head against a wall' at some points. Warm Welcome is also the director's story, in which she truly gets to understand her mother's life, which she didn't know, captured through the medium of a camera with her ambivalent view.
