Artificial intelligence has become the norm in the not-so-distant future, and humanity and nature have grown farther apart. A mega tech company called Pegasus provides opportunities for couples to fairly share pregnancy experiences using detachable artificial wombs called Pods. Against this backdrop, a New Yorker couple, Rachel and Alvy, decide to start their family to understand each other better. The purist botanist Alvy is skeptical of this program but accepts the challenge out of his love for Rachel. And as they embark on the journey of this experimental parenthood, they run into a series of difficulties, joys, and shocking events. The Pod Generation is a science fiction film with many visual entertainments. However, the true essence of this movie is how the journey of Rachel and Alvy makes us think about the meaning of progress and technology. (CHUN Jinsu)
