Slaughterhouse of Modernity takes on the challenge of talking about the world, the past, and the impact of the past on the present using the means of architecture. It shows a slaughterhouse built by architect Francisco Salamone on the tranquil grassland of Pampas in Argentina; a utopian building created by Freddy Mamani Silvestre in El Alto, Bolivia; and a remodeling project of Crown Prince's Palace in Berlin. Slaughterhouse of Modernity weaves a breathtaking yet controversial essay by crossing various countries and architects. It offers striking moments by fierce criticism of modernity and capitalism and comparing the public buildings of Argentina and those of Italy under fascism, reinterpreting what perspective means.
