In the introduction of his directorial debut, the writer and essayist Paul B. PRECIADO declares that he will never write his biography because Virginia Woolf already did it with the book Orlando a century ago. With this confession as an excuse and starting point, PRECIADO creates a documentary in which all of its protagonists transform into Orlando, the hero of Woolf's novel who lives his life changing sex over time. But this is not the story of one person or two, but of many, of all the Orlandos of the world, who share suffering, mistreatment, and misunderstanding, but also joy, camaraderie, and love in their journey through life as transgender people. Preciado embraces all of them and creates a film that is as happy as it is colorful and full of hope. Love, understanding the other, and intelligence, as the most powerful tools to face the misunderstandings of a world that, like Orlando, is constantly changing. (Sung MOON)
