In the first scene of Love, My Way, the main character, Qian, bursts into the men's bath and fights with her boyfriend upon hearing rumors of his cheating, which gives a glimpse of what kind of film it is. This film is about Qian, a woman who puts everything into love. When Qian says, “I'll love in whatever way I like, as long as I'm happy.”, her attitude seems empowering. However, witnessing her getting pregnant from birth control that she refused, and meeting a new man and telling him she is a virgin appears overly impulsive and irrational. Qian's love is the opposite of her best friend Tingting's overly cautious love. Despite their contrasting ways of loving, neither is free from heartbroken from love, as they both end up getting drunk and shedding tears. Love, My Way represents the heart of youth who cannot help but jump into the flames of love, even though they know the inevitable pain awaits them. What is certain is that no female character has been seen in any recent movie that has expressed striking intensity as Qian when it comes to love. It is also worth mentioning the actor Rebecca Li, who played Qian. (MOON Seok)
