Jonathan DEMME

Born in 1944 in New York. He started directing as he joined New World Pictures in the 1970s. [#i_]Melvin and Howard[_i#](1980) won the Academy Award for Best Screenplay and Best Supporting Actress. [#i_]The Silence of Lambs[_i#](1991) won five Academy Awards, including Best Director. He also directed features, such as Philadelphia and The Truth about Charlie. Besides, he also made documentaries about pop stars, such as Talking Head and Robyn Hitchcock.
