Jean-Luc GODARD

Born in 1930, France. He is one of the founding members of the Nouvelle Vague. He attended school in Nyon in Switzerland and the Sorbonne in Paris. During his time at the Sorbonne, he became involved with the filmmakers and film theorists that created the Nouvelle Vague. His films challenged the conventions of Hollywood Cinema, and he has been regarded as the most extreme New Wave filmmaker.
