Born in Brooklyn in 1969. Second major picture [#i_]The Squid and the Whale [_i#](2005) earned a S\\ion at the Sundance Film Festival, three Golden Globe nominations and a best screenplay Oscar nomination. From then on his career was launched and his output became more regular with [#i_]Margot at the Wedding [_i#](2007),[#i_] Greenberg[_i#](2010) and bittersweet art house success [#i_]Frances Ha[_i#](2012). He also co-writes some with Wes Anderson.
