Born in 1960, Sha’anxi province, China. He is an artist and an independent documentary maker. He has held several solo exhibition shows of artwork at the China National Museum of Fine Arts in Beijing, in Xi’an. In 2005 his documentary Cheng Lu was chosen to take part in the Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival. His 2007 documentary San Li Dong won the Independent Spirit Award at the 4th China Documentary Festival, and was chosen as one of the ten best films at the the 4th China Independent Film Festival.
