A motel room near the border of USA and Mexico. A man dressed in black hood begins to talk about the crimes he has committed. The brutal story of the assassin comes as a shock in a simple setting. Won FIPRESCI award at Venice Film Festival.

DIRECTOR

Gianfranco Rosi

Born in Asmara Eritrea and lived in Istanbul, New York, Los Angeles and Rome. After attending university in Italy in 1985 he moved to N.Y. where he graduated from New York University Film School. Below Sea Level, which he also produced directed and photographed, premiered in Venice 2008 and won the Orizzonti AWARD. His film El Sicario, Room 164, won the FIPRESCI Award at the 2010 Venice film Festival.
