Review

The plot occurs around 1925 in Mexico when the Mexican government decides to severely restrict religious freedoms. It is the story of a few rebels, The Cristeros that fight for the right to freely and publicly practice their Catholic faith.

Matias Meyer 
Matias Meyer was born in Perpig­nan, France. He studied at the Centro de Capacitacion Cinematografica in Mexico City. He has directed the short films The Passenger (2004), Verde (2006) and Wadley (2008). His feature films are The Cramp (2009) and The Last Christeros (2011).
