Nahid PERSSON SARVESTANI

Nahid Persson Sarvestani was born and raised in Iran, but sought political asylum in Sweden as a result of her political activism during and after the revolution in Iran. Her most famous documentary films are The Queen And I and Prostitution Behind The Veil . She has been in house arrest by the authorities in Tehran for allegedly having shamed her native country shooting Prostitution Behind The Veil , which won Golden Dragon at the Krakow Film Festival and Best International News Documentary at the TV-festival 2005 in Monte Carlo.
