Born in 1971 in Romania. She educated in Biology at the University of Bucharest and holds an MFA in Film and Television Production and a Ph.D. in Critical Studies, both from USC’s School of Cinematic Arts. Her films have been included in the official S\\ions at, among others, Cannes, Sundance, and the American Film Institute. She co-directed the omnibus [#i_]Tales from the Golden Age[_i#](2009), distributed commercially in over 30 countries. Her first feature [#i_]Lemonade[_i#], had its world premiere at Berlinale Panorama 2018.
