How long is the distance between a salary man and a job applicant? Is it probably short enough? The film begins showing the daily routine of a salary man to reach the night of a job applicant. As it shifts from day to night, the space that looked very realistic becomes a maze bearing secrets. Since the film is structurized only for the protagonist, it resembles Kafka’s view of the world. The fierce vortex created by the space floods toward the main character along with the past he wants to hide or the present he wants to ignore. It is suspicious that the ordeal is probably the bleak scenery of the protagonist’s inner side that he created himself because the film is rather a mono pantomime with no dialogue at all. The flow of the story simply with changes in time and space under the structure free of human relations shows talent and idea of the director. The directing ability with imagination creating a science-fictional time and space in a real space is reliable. [KIM So-hui]
