Minkyung is a tapestry artist who creates pictures or designs by weaving colored threads. To earn a living, her hands move swiftly even when she goes to work at sea on a moonlit night or caring for her sick family. Her daily life of work and laughter is weaved into colorful work. She twists threads using the fan motor wick and uses a fork instead of a tapestry comb. On the canvas-like frame green plants start blooming one by one. It is the moment that life is reborn as art. ''The Moon and Fork'' is a work by that highlights the sense of beauty in everyday life and composed viewpoint by director SHIN Nari, who has been consistently working on documentaries. With clever video editing and sound placement that incorporated the tapestry work process and the main character’s routine beginning at dawn, it allows to look deeply into the character in a short period.
