Born in 1960 in Paris. After graduating IDHEC (Institute for Advanced Cinematographic Studies), she worked as an assistant in television and directed six short films from 1979 to 1990. Her first feature, [#i_]Coming to Terms with the Dead[_i#](1994) won the Camera d’Or at the Cannes in 1994. Her theatrical adaptation of D.H. Lawrence [#i_]Lady Chatterley[_i#](2006) was S\\ed at the Berlinale in 2007 and won the Best Film at Cesar 2007.
