Yanji is the main city for the 2 million Korean Chinese population. A documentary depicts dark side of capitalism amongst the mixed up Koreans, North Korean defectors and Korean Mongolians.

Born in 1960, he studied at Korean Academy of Film Arts. After producing [#i_]To the Starry Island[_i#](1993) and [#i_]Cinema on the Road[_i#](1994), he directed [#i_]Motel Cactus[_i#](1997) and [#i_]camel(s)[_i#](2001). Later, he directed [#i_]Digital Search[_i#](2002), one of ‘Jeonju Digital Project 2002’ of the 3rd Jeonju International Film Festival, and [#i_]Garibong[_i#](2013) was invited to 14th Jeonju IFF. He is currently a professor at Dankook Graduate School of Cinematic Content.
