Producing promising foreign films through "JEONJU Cinema Project"

"JEONJU Next Edition" is a project pitching event to select an international project for 'JEONJU Cinema Project'. Since its launch in 2014, "JEONJU Cinema Project" has supported local and international independent filmmakers by funding their films each year.

In celebration of the 10th anniversary of "JEONJU Project Market", JEONJU Next Edition is launched in 2018 in order to improve and expand the international contribution of JEONJU Cinema Project and JEONJU Project Market.

"JEONJU Next Edition" discovers quality projects from overseas through a systemic submission and selection system. As a system of the open call for JEONJU Cinema Project international project selection, accepts feature film and documentary project with theatrical potential (minimum length 60 minutes), and it must be a new project of director/producer who has directed/produced at least one feature film.

After the pre-selection based on the submitted documents, pre-selected projects will be given an opportunity to be pitched at "JEONJU Next Edition" at "JEONJU Project Market".

As the result of the pitching, one final project will be selected as JEONJU Cinema Project of the following year and receive a production investment of approximately 100 million KRW (Approx. 90,000 USD) and will be world premiered at the following edition of Jeonju International Film Festival(Jeonju IFF). The final selected project will be announced at JEONJU Project Market Awards Ceremony.
