Review

A man and a woman run into each other at a bus stop on a rainy day. The two get on the same bus and the flutter in their hearts grows as they examine each other carefully. The film narrates the amicable feelings that a man and a woman feel in a short time after a coincidental meeting. The same events are presented twice, according to the characters’ points of view. By pairing up the narrative structures of each, the feeling that the characters have towards each other gains plausibility. Such reproduction of one event according to multiple points of view, while evoking the interest of the viewers, requires an immediate, acute answer towards the question “what is the truth?”-just like Kurosawa Akira asked in his film Rashomon. Although the two characters of the film are anxious because they don’t know the inner feeling of the other, the viewers are omniscient and can guess how the couple’s fate will turn out. Therefore, the film’s conclusion is actively deduced with the participation of the viewers. The intervention of the point of view of another woman who is related to both the man and the woman changes everything, all the while giving some time to think of the complex network of human relationships and the film’s theme, “destined love.”
