Born in 1964 Japan. Yamamura Koji studied painting at Tokyo Zokei University. He started his career as an animation background artist at Mukuo Studio and in 1993, he founded Yamamura Animation, Inc. Yamamura has created many short animation films using a variety of techniques. Mt. Head (2002) was awarded the 6 Grand Prix include Annecy, Zagreb and Hiroshima. Franz Kafka's A Country Doctor (2007) was awarded the Grand Prix at Ottawa in 2007 and International Trick Film Festival Stuttgart. He is only one grand prix winner in 5 major international animation festivals in the world.
