Born in 1981,Seoul. She graduated from Dankook University’s Department of Theater & Film. She worked on multiple commercial and independent films as part of the crew and also studied directing at the Korean Academy of Film Arts and then graduated in 2014. Her short films include [#i_]Private Lesson[_i#](2005) and [#i_]Marry ME[_i#](2007), while[#i_] Ordinary Family[_i#](2014), which she shot while studying at the Korean Academy of Film Arts, was awarded the Grand Prize in Korean Competition at the 12th Asiana International Short Film Festival. Ordinary Family(2014) was also screened at the 38th San Francisco International LGBT Film Festival and was the Toronto Korean Film Festival Audience Choice at the Toronto Korean Film Festival.
