Born in 1982, Erfurt, East Germany. After she got her degree in social education, with a focus on psychology in Frankfurt, she worked as a drama teacher in London for two years. In 2009, she began to study directing at the Film Academy, Baden- Wurttemberg. She directed a short film, [#i_]Saint & Whore[_i#](2012), and she completed her first feature film, [#i_]Two Mothers[_i#](2013) which premiered at Berlinale. [#i_]24 Weeks [_i#]is her second feature film.
