Having taken in an abandoned kitten by chance, the director becomes curious about the origins of this tiny, vulnerable creature, prompting her to pick up her camera. In an unmarked spot on the map, once known as a pear orchard, she not only finds traces of the kitten, but also encounters unexpected beings. Engaging in tracking, encountering, and recording, she comes to perceive the interconnected history of existence that stretches across her neighborhood, the land itself, and all lives—both human and other living beings.
