Once lovers, Yeon and Kang run into each other in summers of three different years. The humidity of that day reminds their five senses of why they liked each other. Each encounter results in changes on Yeon’s face, suggesting that Layers of Summer may be a coming-of-age story for Yeon. Yeon habitually leaves her heart behind while Kang silently grasps it.
