The story of this film revolves around a textile factory run by the Kadir family, over the course of 24 hours. An employee at the factory gets into an accident at the factory where old machines are repaired instead of replaced to cut costs. Kadir and his father, Ibrahim, who founded the factory, and Kadir’s brother, Halil, who currently runs it, send the wounded employee to the hospital. Following the advice of their lawyer that the factory will be held responsible for the employee’s injury if the case goes to court without the consent of the employee's family, Kadir attempts to come to an agreement by insinuating negligence and drinking on the employee’s part. However, he fails to reach an agreement, and to make matters worse, he has an important dinner with his girlfriend, Esma and her parents that day. The moral insensitivity that any price can be paid for the benefit of the company and the resulting industrial accidents are unfortunate yet commonplace in our society. In this feature directorial debut, director Selman Nacar, who studied law in Turkey and film direction at Columbia University in New York, well depicts the feelings and thoughts of Kadir, who is tormented by a guilty conscience about his family’s moral laxity.
