“So I imagined a film in which the essence of our lives is told not only with words, but also with images of innocent toys,” explained filmmaker Radu Jude as he described his latest work Semiotic Plastic. This film presents a unique method of portraying innocent children's plastic toys while completely removing nostalgia of any kind. Various moments in life, from the birth of a human to the madness of war, are expressed and collected like still lifes or a snapshot, and the film becomes a living museum of toys. [Sung MOON]
