Review

A wanna-be film director, Seung-Woo travels to Samnye in order to escape from writer’s block. He bumps into village girl, Hee-In and immideatly gets close while she offers Samnye tour guide. Her strange charm and bizarre energy of Samnye give him both inspiration and chaos.

She studied mythology and theology in university. Her Experimental documentary focused on mythology of Korean Tradition and feminism, [#i_]The Virgin Forest [_i#]successfully presented at Torino and Edinburgh Film Festival. In her second feature, [#i_]Echo of dragon [_i#]she explored dragon, one of the most important symbol in both western and eastern civilization, within contemporary frame. Echo of dragon was invited to Korean Competition section of 14th Jeonju IFF. Her experimental and innovative cinematic language goes on again in [#i_]Samnye[_i#], one of ‘Jeonju Cinema Project 2015’.
