Missing Yoon, a delightful and entertaining road movie that explores the relationship between mother and daughter, begins with the disappearance of singer Yoon Si-Nae, as the title suggests. The mother, an impersonator who sings under her stage name “Yeon Si-Nae”, goes out to find her idol, Yoon Si-Nae. And daughter “Jang Ha-Da”, who does everything she can to increase the number of “subscribers, likes, and notification settings” on her own YouTube account, joins the journey to secretly capture the image of her mother. They wander around asking her whereabouts from Yoon Si-Nae impersonators with various names, but they cannot easily find her trace. Rather than the process of finding the missing great singer, the film focuses on the mothers and her daughter who reflect on their relationship and get to know each other again. As the daughter says, “Have we ever been worried about each other?” they had a bad relationship because of Yoon Si-Nae, but thanks to her, they face a new turning point. [MOON Seok]
