Agnès VARDA relocated to the United States in the late 1960s and directed several films depicting the social situation around the last days of flower power, a symbol of nonviolent resistance, heralding even darker times. At that time, Pier Paolo Pasolini was also in NYC. This brief meeting, filmed with a 16mm camera by Varda, presents an unforgettable moment of sympathy between the two directors. This short film was discovered by Cineteca di Bologna last year and premiered at the film festival Il Cinema Ritrovato. (Sung MOON)
